WHY PANDORA'S BOX?
Hello! In Greek mythology, Pandora's box is a curse-filled artifact that unleashed sickness, death and many other unspecified evils into the world. You might think that it is quite ironic that this is the name given to a creative space that is built to serve as a safe haven for students of science, and we do not blame you for that. I mean, sickness? Death? synonymous to creative space? cmon.. but anyway, we're not changing the name sorry. In Societas Vitae, pandora's box is not a curse! It is a box meant to be filled with memories of each other, for it will soon be filled with content suggested by you guys. It will be filled by all our favorites. Also, no one can deny that being a student of science can sometimes feel like a curse. It can be lackluster, boring and repetitive. Sometimes it can even make us sick, just like what happened when the artifact pandora's box was opened. But at the end of the day, we still stay in this course. And that takes a lot of courage and effort, therefore you deserve to take a break. And we hope that this box can help with that. In addition to that, we know that nothing in this world is free of pain, but we hope that one by one, as we grow into the best versions of ourselves in this university, we become instruments of change that will bring forth gentleness, kindness and positivity into the world, in contrast to the wrath that Pandora's box unleashed. That is one of the reasons why we are keeping the name. We hope that you keep this in mind every time you enter this box, and other than that, enjoy your stay!
